Following on from the much need rain that fell all over the place earlier in the week, members out at Clover Leigh contested their April Monthly Medal Stroke event on Saturday afternoon on a course that was looking and playing like a picture.
Winning this month’s men’s medal was Nico with nett 66 from next best Peter Frecklington with nett 68 to be in the runner’s up position.
Marie Bagnall took out the ladies medal with a nett 70 result.
NTP’s going to Mick on the twelfth for the men with 3.14 metres shot of the cup and to Marie for the ladies on the seventeenth with slightly more 4.5 metres.
There was one gobble found on the cards when this went to Aaron Walton on the eighth.
Aaron had a birdie on this hole with Mick also having one on the twelfth been the only ones recorded.
This coming Saturday at 11 a.m. will be “Ken’s Cup,” a Two Person Select Partner’s Ambrose event that honours the memory of Ken Marland.
Ken’s family will be sponsoring the day. And for cost of $12.00 participants will receive golf and a sausage sizzle at halfway.
And a reminder date for the first round of the Small Club’s Pennants and Stableford competition that was due to hit-off on Sunday at Bigga has now been postponed till late May, which now makes the first round of this event starting at Canowindra on Sunday, May 17 with a 10 a.m. tee time.
