Members out at Clover Leigh contested their December Monthly Medal Stroke event on Saturday morning in cooler and a slightly greening strip due to the much need rain that was received over the past week or so.

The men?s winner with a fine 64 nett to his credit was George Gerrard from the next best result going to a close count-back when Peter Bolton took out the runner?s up position when he edged Mick to the third placing when both recorded 67 nett.

In the ladies side of the draw we saw Marie Bagnall come in with 71 nett to win the women?s December Medal.

There were no NTP, Gobbles or Birdies to be found on the card, considering the great playing conditions a very strange event indeed.

This coming Saturday, several members will be travelling to Cowra to play in their annual Greenkeeper?s Revenge, so as a result, numbers will be down at home, but there will be a Stableford event for those who are not going to Cowra, with a 8 a.m. tee-time.

On Friday, December 19, this year?s Presentation and Christmas Cheer dinner will be held at seven for a 7.30 p.m. start.

With a small charge of $20.00 to cover the cost of the Prawn, Chicken and Ham.

Members are requested to bring a salad and sweet dish that will be added to meat dishes.

All participants are also requested to bring a wrapped present to the value of no more then $10.00, with the gender of the giver wrote on the outside to be placed under the tree for when Santa will be handing them out to all when he expected at the club house sometime throughout the night.

Prior to the dinner at 4 p.m. there will be golf that will take the form of a Two Stick, Two Person Ambrose event over nine holes with a draw for partner and rules of play been done and announced just before hit-off.

And on Saturday, December 20, at 8 a.m. if the night before has not taken it?s toll, there will be round four of the Summer Comp. with the event for the day to be decided on the day.
