With overcast shies which helped make playing conditions just that little bit more enjoyable for golf, members out at Clover Leigh contested the third round of their Summer Comp. with a Single Stableford event on Saturday afternoon.

The men?s winner with a fine 45 points to his credit was Mick from next best which went to a count-back when Graeme Bell just edged Peter Freck from the runner?s up position when both recorded 39 points a piece.

In the ladies side of the draw we saw Tania Baldwin have a great day with 44 points to win from Marie Bagnall who scored 42 points to be runner?s up.

NTP?s going to Peter Bolton for the men on the seventh hole with a distant seven metres and to Tania for the ladies also on the seventh hole with a much closer 2.5 metres.

Only one gobble was to be found on the cards when Mick had it on the eleventh.

There were three birdies for the round when Tania had hers on the seventh, Mick with his on the eleventh and Peter Freck scored his on the Betty Freck memorial hole ninth.

This coming Saturday at the earlier time of 8 a.m. the December, Monthly Medal Stroke event will be contested.
