In warm but bearable conditions members out at Clover Leigh contested a Single Stableford event for the second round of their Summer Comp. on Saturday afternoon.

With a winning score of 42 points to his credit it was George Gerrard from next best Reg Frecklington with 36 points to be in the runner?s up position.

It was George?s day when recorded his first ever Hole-In-One to take out the NTP for the day on the 165 metres par three fourteenth.

In doing so he scored a gobble with Graeme Bell also having a gobble when he scored his on the first hole.

There were no birdies to be found on the cards, but with George?s Hole-In-One, he had an eagle on the fourteenth.

This coming Saturday for the last time for a while, hit-off will take place a 12 noon when the third round of the Summer Comp. when the form of play for the day will be decided just prior to tee-time.

And do not forget the first Saturday of December, when hit-off will move to the earlier tee-time of 8 a.m.
