The rain that was predicted for Saturday afternoon did not happen to dampen play out at Clover Leigh when members contested a Four Ball Best Ball Stableford event when playing partners were decided from a draw just prior hit-off.

The pairing of George Gerrard and Mick came in with a 41 points score to win from the next best team of Marie Bagnall and Reg Frecklington with 38 points to their credits to be in the runner?s up position.

NTP going to Mick on the seventh hole with a 4.2 metres shot of the cup.

There was only one gobble to be found on the cards when Reg recorded this on the ninth.

Birdies were on the lesser side when there were none scored for the day?s competition.

This coming Saturday at 12 noon the event for the round will be decided once again just prior to hit-off.

As stated in last week?s report, a full program is planned for the October Long Weekend and in the coming weeks when all is finalised I will update all of what is on.

An event that has being finalized is on the Sunday before the Long Weekend when on September 28, Barb and Richard Stonestreet from down at the Calare Tavern at Bendick Murrell will be sponsoring a Three Person Ambrose draw for partners event with a 10 a.m. start.

For $20.00 you will get golf and a BBQ for lunch at halfway.

Prizes on offer are for first, runner?s up and Bradman?s. There also will be prizes for Longest Drives and NTP?s for both men and women.
