Great golfing weather was on show once more out at the Clover Leigh golf club on Saturday afternoon when members contested their August Monthly Medal Stroke event.

The men?s winner for this month was Graeme Bell with nett 67 who was closely followed by Mick with nett 68 in the runner?s up position.

In the women?s side of the draw we saw Marie Bagnall return to form when she recorded the win with a nett 69 result from runner?s up Tania Baldwin with nett 76.

NTP?s to Peter Freck for the men with 2.32 metres on the seventh and to Tania for the ladies on the eighth hole, with a 3.5 metres shot.

A gobble each to Graeme on the second and to Mick on the fourteenth holes respectively.

There were no birdies to found on the cards.

This coming Saturday at 12 noon the event for the round will be decided just before hit-off.

A head?s up, although it may be a while off, on the October Long Weekend when the theme for the Saturday evening will take the form of a Day at The Races.
