Sunny and mild conditions were on show out at Clover Leigh on Saturday afternoon when members and visitors converged on the course to pay honour to the memory Col and Peter Frecklington?s mother Betty, when a Two Person Multiplier Stableford draw for partner?s event was the order of play for the day.

The winning pairing of George Gerrard and Peter Bolton combined to tally a score of 63 points with next nearest result going to Cheryl Ramsay and Conan Scott with 51 points to be in the runner?s up position.

Best Single Stableford for the men was Peter Freck with 34 points from Mick with 32 points next.

In the women?s side of the draw it was Pam Frecklington with 36 points winning from Ann and Kerran who both recorded 26 points a piece to be runner?s up.

Longest drives to Conan for the men and to Cheryl for the ladies.

NTP?s to Conan once more for the men when he come to with in 90 centimetres of the cup on the eighth hole and to Kerran for the ladies on the very same hole with 2.4 metres.

Gobbles to Maree Marland, Kerran and Jim Manon who all recorded one a piece.

There was only one birdie to be found on the cards and yes this went to Conan on the eight hole when he converted his NTP shot of 90 centimetres.

Following golf, those who stayed on enjoyed a most enjoyable meal of Beef and Lamb Roast with all the trimmings which was done to perfection by mine host Freck.

This coming Saturday at 12 noon, the August Monthly Medal Stroke event will be contested.
