On Tuesday morning last out at Clover Leigh a Single Stableford event was contested as part of their mid week competition when the winning placing was won by Peter Frecklington with 32 points from George Gerrard next with 31 points to be in the runner?s up position.

NTP going to Peter Freck on the twelfth hole with a 2.2 metres shot of the cup.

Peter and George contested their club Match-Play game during the day?s play when Peter was declared the winner in a very close game with a win on the nineteenth hole.

Saturday saw a Par event being contested in fine but cool and overcast conditions at times on a slowly drying strip when scoring was on the lower side of the ledger.

Winning with minus two, yes minus two, was Peter Bolton from Marie Bagnall?s minus three next best to be runner?s up.

NTP?s to Peter Bolton for the men on the seventeenth hole with 7.2 metres and for the ladies it was Tania Baldwin with a slightly closer seven metres on the sixteenth hole.

There were no gobbles or birdies to be found on the cards.

One club Match-Play game was contested between Nico and Peter Bolton when Peter took out the game with a one up result.

This will see the two Peter?s, Peter Bolton and Peter Freck fight it out to be crowned this year?s Match-Play Champion. The date for their game is yet to be decided.

This coming Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. a nine hole event will be contested with a $10.00 Hot Dish in the club house at around 6.30 p.m. for those wishing to stay on.

The following day, Saturday at 12 noon, the Frecklington Boy?s will be sponsoring ?Betty Frecko Memorial Golf Day,? which will take the form of a Two Person Multiplier Stableford draw for partners event to honour the memory of Col and Peter?s mother, Betty.

From around 11.30 a.m. a BBQ Lunch will be on offer as the draw for partners is conducted.

In the evening at 7 p.m., a $10.00 Roast Dinner is planned.
