On Saturday afternoon members out at Clover Leigh finally played in fine sunny weather, but on a strip that was well and truly sodden from all the rain of the previous days when they contested a Single Stableford event.

Winning with 37 points to his credit was George Gerrard from Peter Bolton next with 33 points.

NTP going to Graeme Bell on the eighth hole with a close 2.3 metres.

There were no gobbles for the round, but there was a birdie to Peter Freck on the very first hole with this the only one to be found on the cards.

This coming Saturday at 12 p.m. the event for the day will be decided on the day.

The following Saturday at 12 noon, Col and Peter Frecklington will be sponsoring a Three Person Multiplier Stableford draw for partners event to honour the memory of their mother, Betty.

While the draw is being done, a sausage sizzle will be on offer from around 11.30 a.m.
