Once again Saturday afternoon?s competition play out at Clover Leigh was cancelled due to the unfavourable weather conditions.

So this gives time to remind all of what is coming up at Clover Leigh over the next couple of weeks.

Starting this Saturday at 12 noon when for its twelfth time, the club will be honouring the memory of a much loved former member, Vera McPake.

Play will take the form of a Three Person Select Partners Ambrose event.

Vera?s family, who have made the trip back over the years, is unable to make it this year round, so Mick has kindly decided to sponsor ?Vera?s Day,? as his yearly trophy day.

Just prior to hit-off, a sausage sizzle for a small charge will be on offer.

The evening will see a BYO BBQ for those wishing to stay on.

The following day we will see what has become to be one of the biggest days in the calendar when Clover Leigh will play host to the final round of the Small Clubs Pennants and Stableford competition.

Members from four other clubs will converge on the course to join us in rounding off a great few months of competitive and enjoyable golf.

Members are requested to bring a plate for both the afternoon teas that will be held after golf on both Saturday and Sunday?s events for all to enjoy.

All accommodation in the units has been reserved but if you wish to pitch a tent or bring a caravan, please feel free to contact Peter Freck on 6383 7383. Due to ?Vera?s Day? being held this Saturday, the July Monthly Medal Stroke event will now be played at 12 p.m., on Saturday, July 12.
