With many thanks to the hard work of the groundsmen over the last week, members out at Clover Leigh Golf Club enjoyed great playing conditions for the Easter Long Weekend break with proceeding commenced on Friday afternoon when a nine hole Single Stableford event was contested.

Winning with a fine 22 points to his credit was Mick from next best Peter Frecklington with 20 points.

NTP going to Phil Windsor with 3.95 metres on the eighth.

A gobble to George Gerrard on the third.

George also had his birdie on the third with Peter Freck scoring one on the ninth to be the only ones to be found on the cards.

On Saturday afternoon a Fourball Best Ball Stableford draw for partner?s event was the go, with the pairing of Carolyn Windsor and Peter Freck coming in with a winning score of 47 points. In the runners up position we saw Marie Bagnall and Peter Bolton with 43 points.

NTP?s to Peter Bolton on the third with 2.75 metres for the men, and for the ladies, Carolyn had 4.66 metres on seventeenth.

Two birdies to Peter Freck on the first and eleventh holes respectively, being the only ones for the round.

The clubhouse and course was a hive of activity over the weekend when a large group staying in the on site accommodation enjoyed them self?s with social play and what Clover Leigh has to offer to visitors with bushwalks and generally partaking in the easy going nature of the place.

This Saturday, at 12 noon, the event for the day will be decided just before tee time.

And on Sunday morning, member will be travelling to Bigga to contest the first round of this year?s Small Club?s Pennants and Stableford competition.
